SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham was named to the watchlists for the Dodd Trophy and the Bear Bryant Award.
Whittingham is 149-72 (.674) at Utah in his 18th season at the helm of the Utes’ program.
Presently, the Utes are 5-2 and 3-1 in Pac-12 play. Utah ranks seventh nationally in sacks per game (0.71) and 16th in the nation in scoring offense (40.7 points per game) as well as 23rd in total offense (472.7 yards per game).
Utah is on its bye and returns to action October 27 at Pullman, Wash. against Washington State as the Pac-12 season ensues.
