SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, the Utah Jazz signed Italian forward Simone Fontecchio, a former standout with Baskonia of Spain.

The 6’7″ 200-pound forward out of Pescara, Italy, averaged 11 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in 2021-22 for Baskonia.

Fontecchio has also played for ALBA Berlin (Germany), Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, AX Armani Exchange, Vanoli Cremona and Virtus Bologna of Italy.

Fontecchio is presently 26 and will turn 27 December 9.
