CEDAR CITY, Utah-Monday, Southern Utah University men’s basketball head coach Rob Jeter announced the signing of 6’6″ forward Jamir Simpson.

Simpson comes to the Thunderbirds from NCAA Division II Wisconsin-Parkside.

The durable Simpson played in 29 of 30 games last season for the Rangers, averaging 14.6 points and 6 rebounds per game.

Simpson started his collegiate career at NAIA school Pikeville (Ky.) prior to his time at Wisconsin-Parkside.
