Isotopes Drill Bees In Historic Performance

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.-Ryan Vilade and Sean Bouchard each homered twice and the Albuquerque Isotopes drilled Salt Lake 20-8 Wednesday at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park in Pacific Coast League play.

Coco Montes, Carlos Perez and Bret Boswell also homered for the Isotopes in victory. The eight home runs hit by the Isotopes set a record for home runs by a Bees opponent in a single game.

Heath Holder earned the win on the mound for Albuquerque as he posted a strikeout in 1.1 innings of work.

Monte Harrison homered in defeat for the Bees, who led 6-1 before surrendering 16 consecutive runs to the Isotopes in the loss.

Albuquerque improves to 28-34 on the season with the win. The Bees slumped to 31-31 with the loss as they have lost four straight games.

The Bees and Isotopes meet again Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park.
