EL PASO, Texas-Brandon Dixon homered and the El Paso Chihuahuas got past Salt Lake 6-4 Wednesday at Southwest University Park in Pacific Coast League play.
Drew Carlton earned the win on the mound for El Paso with three strikeouts in two innings of work to improve to 1-0 on the season.
Trey Cabbage homered twice in the loss for the Bees, who have dropped 10 of their last 11 games to fall to 9-14 on the season.
Conversely, El Paso improved to 9-14 with the win.
The Bees and Chihuahuas return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at Southwest University Park.
