OKLAHOMA CITY-Miguel Vargas homered and the Oklahoma City Dodgers bested the Salt Lake Bees 8-3 Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.

Mitch White earned the win on the mound for the Dodgers by posting six strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. White improved to 1-0 on the season with the victory.

The Bees mustered four hits on the afternoon and only scored by virtue of bases loaded walks and a wild pitch.

Oklahoma City improves to 37-23 on the season with the win while the Bees, who have lost four of six games this week, fell to 31-29.

The Bees return to action Tuesday at 6:35 pm MDT by visiting the Albuquerque Isotopes for a 6-game series.
