Dixie State Baseball Signs Three During Early Signing Period

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Late Monday, per an announcement from Dixie State University head baseball coach Chris Pfatenhauer, the Trailblazers signed three players during the early signing period.

Those submitting national letters of intent to the baseball program include former Desert Hills High School outfielder Landon Levine, catcher Kaden Hollow, formerly of Rocky Mountain (Idaho) High School of Meridian, Idaho and shortstop Jake Schulz of Prescott (Ariz.) High School.

Levine was instrumental in helping the Thunder to a Utah Class 4-A state runner-up finish in 2018 by hitting .245 with one home run and four RBI in his first season of varsity play.

Hollow, the younger brother of current Trailblazers second baseman Tyler Hollow, is the reigning Idaho Class 5-A state tournament MVP after leading the Grizzlies to a state championship in 2018.

During his high school career, he batted .412 and amassed 49 RBI.

Schulz was named to the 2018 Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mention team after hitting .328 and posting 12 doubles as well as four home runs.

He is a two-time all-region performer for the Badgers.
