LOGAN, Utah-Friday, Utah State University interim athletics director Jerry Bovee announced the hiring of Danny Sprinkle as the Aggies’ new head men’s basketball coach.

Sprinkle will be formally introduced as the program’s new head coach Monday at noon at the Wayne Estes Center.

The event is open to the public and media and free parking will be available in the lots north of the Estes Center.

Sprinkle comes to the Utah State program from Montana State where he led the Bobcats to a record of 81-43 (.653) and two NCAA Tournament appearances in four seasons at Bozeman, Mont.

Sprinkle starred for Montana State as a player from 1995-1999 and was inducted into the Montana State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006.
