BYU Football’s Jaren Hall Officially Declares For The NFL Draft

PROVO, Utah-Friday evening, BYU football junior quarterback Jaren Hall officially declared for the NFL Draft.

The 6-1 205-pound Hall, who starred at Maple Mountain High School of Spanish Fork before signing with BYU, is the son of former BYU tailback Kalin Hall (1992-1993).

Hall concludes his collegiate career with the Cougars having thrown for 6,174 yards, 52 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

In 2022, Hall completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,171 yards, 31 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

This past September, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake called Hall “the perfect example for everyone to watch,” citing his leadership skills.

Hall will be older than most NFL rookies as he turns 25 next March 24. This is the same birthday as former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos All-Pro and Super Bowl champion quarterback Peyton Manning.

Later Friday, former USC and Pittsburgh starting quarterback Kedon Slovis committed to BYU via a transfer portal commitment.

Slovis will be a graduate senior for the Cougars. The 6-3 205-pound signal-caller completed 58 percent of his passes for 2,397 yards, 10 touchdowns and 9 interceptions last season at Pittsburgh.
