ANNAPOLIS, Md.-BYU football, per a Thursday announcement, commences the season against Navy Labor Day night, September 7 at Annapolis, Md.
This will be a 6:00 pm MDT kickoff.
This commences a two-game series against the Midshipmen as Navy will visit LaVell Edwards Stadium at a later date.
The defending Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy champion, Navy is coming off an 11-2 season which includes a 7-1 mark in American Athletic Conference play.
The Midshipmen edged Kansas State 20-17 in the 2019 Liberty Bowl at Memphis, Tenn.
This is the third time the Cougars and Midshipmen will have met on the gridiron.
Navy prevailed over BYU 23-16 in the 1978 Holiday Bowl December 22, 1978 at San Diego.
The Cougars prevailed over the Midshipmen in the next meeting, 31-10 at Annapolis September 16, 1989.
BYU hopes to announce additional games for the 2020 season at a future date.
