KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Tuesday, Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark confirmed the men’s basketball schedule will remain unchanged as BYU, Central Florida, Cincinnati and Houston join the power conference in 2023-24 at Big 12 men’s basketball media days.

Yormark stated “over a two-year period, each school will play all the other members of the conference both home and away.”

Yormark also confirmed the first 14-team Big 12 basketball schedule for the 2023-24 season would be released this December.

The Big 12’s current 18-game schedule is equal to a round robin schedule among the conference’s 10 teams.

Texas Christian coach Jamie Dixon has stated he is in favor of the round robin schedule after Texas and Oklahoma leave for the SEC by 2025. Dixon’s hope would result in 22 Big 12 conference games in a season.
