RENO, Nev.-Jack Mayfield and Jake Gatewood each homered and the Salt Lake Bees bested the Reno Aces 7-4 Tuesday in Pioneer League play at Greater Nevada Field.

Oliver Ortega earned the win on the mound for the Bees by posting three strikeouts in one inning of work. Ortega is 1-0 on the season for Salt Lake.

Seth Beer homered in the loss for the Aces.

The Bees have now won three straight games and improved to 45-49 on the season. The Aces fell to 52-42 in defeat.

The Bees and Aces return to action Wednesday at 7:35 pm at Greater Nevada Field.
