SALT LAKE CITY-Jake Gatewood homered and the Salt Lake Bees routed the Sacramento River Cats 16-0 Monday in Pacific Coast League play at Smith’s Ballpark.

Davis Daniel earned the win on the mound for the Bees by posting four strikeouts in 7.1 innings of play. Daniel improved to 6-6 on the season with the victory.

The Bees also recorded 19 hits in the win.

With the win, Salt Lake improved to 66-76 on the season. Sacramento fell to 62-78 with the loss.

The Bees and River Cats meet again Tuesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
