In the second game of the Saturday doubleheader at Smith’s Ballpark, the Reno Aces obtained a series victory with a 3-2 win over the Bees.

Dominic Canzone’s RBI sacrifice fly in the top of the 6th Inning proved to be the game winner for the Aces. Jo Adell hit his 10th home run of the season in defeat for the Bees.

Justin Martinez earned the win on the mound for Reno, posting four strikeouts in two innings for the Aces.

1st Game

Andrew Velasquez posted an RBI single in the bottom of the 8th Inning and the Salt Lake Bees snapped a 6-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Reno Aces at Smith’s Ballpark Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader.

Jo Adell, Trey Cabbage and Kevin Padlo added homers in the victory for Salt Lake.

Dominic Canzone and Diego Castillo posted RBI in the loss for the Aces.

Following Saturday’s results, the Aces improved to 9-10 while the Bees fell to 9-11.

The Aces, who have clinched the series win with the victory in Game 2 Saturday, face the Bees Sunday at 1:05 pm to conclude the series.
