WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Matt Thais homered and the Salt Lake Bees overpowered Sacramento 5-1 Wednesday at Sutter Health Park in Pacific Coast League play.

Jack Mayfield and Kean Wong added RBI for the Bees who improved to 24-20 on the season in victory.

Jake Kalish improved to 5-1 on the season with the win for the Bees. Kalish posted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to secure the win for Salt Lake.

Sacramento falls to 21-23 on the season with the loss.

The Bees and River Cats resume their series Thursday at 7:45 pm at Sutter Health Park.
