SALT LAKE CITY-Jo Adell and Taylor Jones homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed the Tacoma Rainiers 7-2 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League play at Smith’s Ballpark.

César Valdez posted five strikeouts in seven innings for the Bees as he earned the win on the mound.

Valdez improved to 2-1 on the season with the win.

Jake Scheiner posted an RBI double in defeat for the Rainiers.

Salt Lake improved to 12-17 on the season while Tacoma fell to 15-13.

The Bees and Rainiers return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
