Triple A-West

SALT LAKE CITY-Luis Rengifo commenced and ended the game with bookend home runs and the Salt Lake Bees overpowered Albuquerque 11-4 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple A-West play.

Michael Stefanic also homered for the Bees, who improved to 14-18 with the win.

Jose Rojas, Matt Thaiss and Drew Butera also added RBI for Salt Lake in the victory with Scott Schebler scoring on a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the 5th Inning for the Bees.

Jake Petricka earned the win on the mound for the Bees in his first appearance of the season for Salt Lake.

Rio Ruiz homered in defeat for the Isotopes, as they fell to 10-23 with the loss.

The Bees and Isotopes meet again Sunday at 1:05 pm at Smith’s Ballpark as the series ensues.

Pioneer League

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Jakob Goldfarb, Josh Broughton and Frankie Jezioro had 3 RBI apiece and the Ogden Raptors snapped a 2-game losing streak by pummeling Rocky Mountain 23-7 Saturday at UCHealth Stadium in Pioneer League play.

Mark Mixon earned the win on the mound for the Raptors as Ogden improved to 16-3.

Jacob Barfield had 3 RBI in defeat for the Vibes, who fell to 7-12 on the season with the loss. The Raptors and Vibes return to action Sunday at 1:30 pm.
