5A State Championship @ Weber State University

OGDEN, Utah-Carter Doleac posted 24 points and the No. 4 Alta Hawks bested No. 7 Timpview 64-53 Saturday night at the Dee Events Center. Dean Rueckert’s 12 points led the Thunderbirds in the loss. This is the Hawks’ 5th all-time state championship in boys basketball. Alta has won state titles in 1992, 1995, 2003, 2010 and 2023.

Girls Basketball

5A State Championship @ Weber State University

OGDEN, Utah-Milika Satuala led the way with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 2 Bountiful RedHawks upset No. 1 Springville 41-39 at the Dee Events Center Saturday night to win the 5A state girls basketball championship. Brooke Pennington had 17 points in the loss for the Red Devils. Bountiful has now won three state titles in girls basketball: 2001, 2016 and 2023.
