Baseball

5A State Finals @ UCCU Ballpark

OREM, Utah-The No. 2 Lehi Pioneers edged No. 4 Olympus 10-9 in Game 1 of the 5A baseball finals Friday at UCCU Ballpark. The Pioneers and Titans meet again Saturday at 11:00 am in Game 2 at UCCU Ballpark. Should Olympus prevail, Game 3 in the series will occur Saturday at 4:30 pm. If the Pioneers win, they will capture the 5A state baseball title.

Softball

5A State Finals @ Miller Park

PROVO, Utah-Tatum Hall homered and Avery Sapp earned the win in the circle by posting 10 strikeouts as the No. 1 Spanish Fork Dons blanked No. 7 Lehi 4-0 Friday at Miller Park in the 5A softball finals at Miller Park on the campus of Brigham Young University.

The Dons’ victory caused them to sweep the Pioneers 2-0 in the best-of-three series as they captured the 5A state championship.

This is Spanish Fork’s 8th all-time softball state title and second in a row. The Dons have recorded state titles in softball in 2000, 2006, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021 and 2022.

Boys Lacrosse

5A State Championship Game @ Zions Bank Stadium

HERRIMAN, Utah-The No. 2 Park City Miners outlasted No. 1 Olympus 10-9 Friday to win the 5A boys lacrosse state championship at Zions Bank Stadium. This is the Miners’ first state boys lacrosse title in school history.
