HEBER CITY, Thursday Sept. 23, student-athletes at Wasatch High School received a special distinction during Homecoming Week festivities.
Cool announcement this morning at the @WasatchHigh homecoming assembly. @AbbyPalmerCox came to Wasatch High School to announce that Wasatch’s Unified Basketball team has been selected to participate in the Special Olympic USA Games at @WaltDisneyWorld!

Cox made this proclamation after this squad played an exhibition basketball game Thursday morning.
Presently, some 4o schools participate in Unified Sports, a part of Cox’s “Show Up” initiative to get more schools who have students with disabilities involved in athletics.
The Special Olympics USA Games will run from June 5-12, 2022.
