MIDVALE, Utah (AP) _ Utah Medical Products Inc. (UTMD) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $3.1 million.

On a per-share basis, the Midvale, Utah-based company said it had net income of 84 cents.

The medical device maker posted revenue of $10.9 million in the period.

Utah Medical shares have fallen 24% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined slightly more than 5% in the last 12 months.
