The university is also planning to record and live-stream the general commencement ceremony May 6, 2021.
The in-person convocations are planned for both May 6 and 7.
Convocations differ from the general commencement ceremony. Traditionally, convocation ceremonies are where students attend their individual school or college separately from the school’s larger university-wide commencement ceremony.
The university has stated school officials will use Rice-Eccles Stadium and the Red Butte Garden Amphitheater for the in-person college convocations.
Family and friends who cannot attend may watch the live stream.
The school is also planning to invite 2020 graduates to this event after conducting last year’s commencement exercises virtually.
