SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, covid-19 statistics were updated for Utah by the state department of health.

532,985 Utahns have been vaccinated per Tuesday’s report. This is an increase of 7,952 from Monday.

Of these, 368,210 Utahns (69.1 percent) have received one dose.

164,755 Utahns (30.9 percent) have received the recommended two doses.

5,821 Wasatch County residents have been vaccinated. This is an increase of 8 from Monday.

4,218 Wasatch County residents (72.5 percent of those vaccinated) have received one dose.

1,603 Wasatch County residents (27.5 percent) have received both doses.

For the 21st straight day, Utah set a new recovery percentage record. 92.9 [92.855] percent of statewide cases (336,460-362,347) are recovered.

6.65 [6.648] percent of covid-19 cases statewide (24,090-362,347) are active cases.

Symmetrically, in Wasatch County, 92.9 [92.94] percent of cases are recovered (3,936-4,235).

The same is true for active cases in Wasatch County, as 6.6 [6.61] percent of cases (280-4,235) are active.

In the past 24 hours, new recoveries (1,411) exceed new active cases (-821) and new net recorded cases (591) in Utah.

There are 312,370 more recoveries than active cases statewide.

Of the 14,239 all-time hospitalizations for covid in Utah, 272 are currently hospitalized or 1.91 percent.

In Wasatch County, 94 all-time hospitalizations have been recorded but Wasatch County Health Department reports less than 5 are currently hospitalized for the virus. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact percentage for those currently hospitalized in Wasatch County.

Of the 272, 106 are in ICU or 38.98 percent of ICU occupancy statewide.

70.8 percent of ICU beds are occupied statewide and 74.8 percent of ICU referral center beds.

1,797 deaths have been attributed to covid-19 statewide or 0.5 [0.496] percent of all-time cases.

Wasatch County is achieving at a superior death rate to the statewide numbers as only 0.449 percent of cases (19-4,235) have resulted in death.

Wasatch County School District continues to see increasingly propitious numbers. Of the district’s 683 all-time cases, only 16 are currently active or 2.3 [2.342] percent.
