SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, the COVID-19 statistics for Utah were released for the past 24 hours.
There are 10,202 positive cases for COVID-19 in the Beehive State since testing commenced. This is an increase of 203 from Monday’s totals or a net increase of one positive test from Monday-Tuesday.
Of those, 6,432 are recovered, or 63.04 percent. This is an increase of 68 from the previous day’s totals.
There are presently 3,770 active cases of COVID-19 in Utah as of Tuesday.
Currently, 221,791 total tests have been administered for COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 3,679 in the past 24 hours.
This increases the overall net positive test percentage to 4.599 percent. In the past 24 hours, the positive test percentage increased to 5.51 percent, up from 4.58 percent on Monday.
There have been 801 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in the Beehive State since these statistics were first kept.
Of these, 108 are currently hospitalized, or 13.48 percent of the population. This is an increase from 12.1 percent per Monday’s totals.
Wasatch County has two new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the net test total to 294 for the county. There have been 14 hospitalizations and 2 deaths from the virus in Wasatch County. The second death occurred May 31, with the first on April 10.
