The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple News: May 11

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed various temples worldwide progressed to several phases of reopening.

The Helsinki Finland Temple has advanced to Phase 3 effective May 24, 2021. This temple is the 28th worldwide to advance to Phase 3.

Phase 3 consists of being open for all ordinances with restrictions.

As of May 24, the following eight temples will advance to Phase 2-B. Phase 2-B consists of being open for all living ordinances and baptisms for deceased individuals with restrictions.

-Idaho Falls Idaho

-Montreal, Quebec

-Palmyra New York

-Regina Saskatchewan Canada

-Rexburg Idaho

-Toronto Ontario Canada

Five temples worldwide have resumed Phase 2 operations. Phase 2 consists of being open for all living ordinances only with restrictions.

-Concepcion Chile

-Porto Alegre Brazil

-Quetzaltenango Guatemala

-Santiago Chile

-Trujillo Peru

Four temples have been paused because of local covid-19 restrictions

-Buenos Aires Argentina

-Halifax Nova Scotia

-Mexico City Mexico
