SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave its monthly report on renovation for the Salt Lake Temple, located at Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City.
Because of “inevitable” unexpected challenges, the Salt Lake City-based faith believes the temple’s renovation will be completed in 2026.
March 7, crews poured concrete for the footing of the first base isolator located underneath the temple. The installation of the first base isolator is anticipated in April.
The Beehive House, an official residence of former Church presidents Brigham Young, Lorenzo Snow and Joseph F. Smith, is scheduled for closure April 8.
