SALT LAKE CITY-As has been customary every Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced more temples worldwide will advance to phases 1 and 2 of reopening.
The Salt Lake City-based faith has specified phase 1 of reopening consists of living husband-and-wife sealings by appointment.
Upon reaching phase 2 of reopening, temples can have these ordinances performed as well as being opened to all living ordinances only with restrictions.
The following temples will reopen to Phase 1 Monday September 14:
-Chicago Illinois
-Monterrey Mexico
-San Jose Costa Rica
-Veracruz Mexico
-Villahermosa Mexico
The following temples will ensue in their progression by advancing to Phase 2 Monday September 14:
-Albuquerque New Mexico
-Campinas Brazil
-Curitiba Brazil
-Durban South Africa
-Johannesburg South Africa
-Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo
-Madrid Spain
-Recife Brazil
-Santo Domingo Dominican Republic
-Sao Paulo Brazil
Monday, the Church also confirmed temple worship has temporarily been paused at the Mexico City Mexico Temple and all temples in California.
These temples include the Fresno Temple, the Los Angeles Temple, the Newport Beach Temple, the Oakland Temple, the Redlands Temple, the Sacramento Temple and the San Diego Temple.
