Senior Service Missionary Opportunities Are Expanding for Latter-day Saints Across the World

SALT LAKE CITY-A letter from The First Presidency from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirms senior service mission opportunities are now available for members of the Church throughout the world.

Senior service mission assignments were previously available only to those who live in the United States, Canada and a limited number of other areas.

These missionaries live at home and serve for 8-40 hours a week for a minimum of six months.

They engage in service that can lead to deep, spiritual fulfillment.

Their local stake president continues to be their ecclesiastical leader at this time.

If circumstances permit, The First Presidency still continues to encourage Latter-day Saints to serve away from their homes on such missions.

Those interested in serving as a senior missionary or as a senior service missionary may still apply at seniormissionary.churchofjesuschrist.org.

This portion of the Church Web site is currently available in English and will also soon be available in French, Spanish and Portuguese.

The page will match Church needs to your talents, interests and availability.
