The fire was extinguished by 5:00 pm. This allowed Interstate 80 to be reopened.

Thursday, per information from Utah Fire Info, a 255-acre fire is burning in Tooele County, known as the Pacific Fire.

This has closed Interstate 80 in both directions near the blaze.

Westbound I-80 is closed at Delle near the Delle Interchange and eastbound I-80 was closed at the Wendover Port of Entry.

The fire was reported just before 3:30 pm.
