SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed one temple worldwide will advance to Phase 1 of reopening February 8.
The Montreal Temple, which serves three Quebec stakes (Longueuil, Montreal Mount Royal and Montreal) and one Ontarian stake (Ottawa), was dedicated June 4, 2000 by then-Church president Gordon B. Hinckley.
After renovation, it was rededicated November 22, 2015 by President Henry B. Eyring of the Church’s First Presidency.
Phase 1 of reopening consists of living husband-and-wife sealings by appointment.
