WASATCH COUNTY, Utah-Saturday, the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office found a dead man in Daniels Canyon who was reported missing last December 11.

Per a Facebook post, a citizen called the Wasatch 911 Center, reporting he found a black truck that possibly belonged to Chad West.

West had last been seen December 11 and was first reported as missing December 17.

The truck was located in a northern area of Daniels Canyon known as “The Hog’s Back.”

Deputies and crews with Wasatch County Search and Rescue confirmed the truck belonged to West, whose body was found nearby.

Wasatch County detectives are presently conducting an investigation while the Utah State Medical Examiner will later determine the cause of West’s death.

Presently, law enforcement does not suspect criminal activity was involved in the death.
