JORDANELLE STATE PARK, Utah-Saturday evening, the Utah Division of Natural Resources confirmed Jordanelle Reservoir would be closed Sunday.

This is because fire fighting crews must use Jordanelle Reservoir to contain the Parley Canyons Fire which commenced Saturday afternoon.

No motorized boats, paddle boards, kayaks or swimmers will be permitted in the water.

The picnic areas and beaches will remain open.

All camping reservations will be honored at this time.

Those wanting to visit another nearby boating park are encouraged to visit Deer Creek State Park or East Canyon State Park.
