SALT LAKE CITY-In light of the completion of H.B. 294, the proverbial “endgame bill” for the state of emergency in Utah last Tuesday, Hogle Zoo of Salt Lake City no longer requires masks for guests in outdoor areas.
The zoo says masks are still strongly encouraged but because the state of emergency is over, they are no longer required.
In posting these new standards on Facebook, the zoo said they have always adhered to state and city guidelines.
The zoo says that masks are still required for all visitors 3 years and older in all indoor areas, rides and bathrooms.
Hogle Zoo also confirmed the playground and splash pad will soon open following repairs while the train and carousel are now running full-time for the season.
Reservations to visit the zoo are still required and can be made at hoglezoo.org.
