HEBER CITY, Utah-Tuesday, the Heber City Police Department requests the assistance of the community in investigating a hit-and-run.

At 3:30 pm, a crossing guard was hit at the crosswalk at the Old Mill Elementary crossing on Mill Road.

HCPD reports the driver of the suspect vehicle hit the guard and fled northbound on Mill Road.

Law enforcement has described the suspect vehicle as a black SUV with an adult female driver.

The crossing guard sustained minor injuries. Authorities reported he is expected to make a full recovery.
