Groundbreaking Date Set For Casper Wyoming Temple

SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the groundbreaking date for the Casper Wyoming Temple.

This occasion is slated for Saturday October 9.

Elder S. Gifford Nielsen of the Seventy will preside at the event.

Attendance at the event is by invitation only.

This temple was announced in April 2021 General Conference by Church President Russell M. Nelson.

This single-story temple will consist of 10,000 square feet. It will be constructed on a 9.5-acre site located at the intersection of Wyoming Boulevard Southwest and Eagle Drive.

Upon its completion, this will be the second temple in Wyoming.

Presently, the only temple in Wyoming is at Star Valley (2016).

Wyoming consists of 67,729 Latter-day Saints in 17 stakes.
