Friday Numbers For COVID-19 in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, the latest numbers for COVID-19 in the state of Utah were released.

The net total for COVID-19 cases in the Beehive State has increased to 11,252. This represents a net increase of 439 cases in the past 24 hours as well as a net daily increase of 125 cases. This is a state record.

However, there are now 6,908 who have recovered from COVID-19 in Utah as well. The net 160 Utahns who have recovered in the past 24 hours also represents a state record. Presently, 60.3 percent of Utahns who have had COVID-19 have recovered. This is a significant decrease from 61.29 percent in the past 24 hours.

There have been 232,197 tests for COVID-19 administered in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 4,690 tests in the pat 24 hours.

This caused the net overall test percentage to increase to 4.84 percent in Utah. In the past 24 hours, the overall net test positive percentage increased to 9.36 percent.

There are presently 4,394 active cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 276 in the past 24 hours.

There are presently 870 net hospitalizations in Utah that have occurred since these statistics began to be tracked. This is a net increase of 20 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours.

However, of these hospitalizations, only 114 are currently hospitalized. This is a net decrease of -4 in the past 24 hours. It also caused the current hospitalization percentage to drop to 13.1 percent from 13.88 percent on Thursday.

There are currently 120 deaths from COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is a net increase of three deaths in the past 24 hours.

In Wasatch County, there have now been 317 cases of COVID-19 since these statistics began to be tracked. This is a net increase of four cases in the past 24 hours. There is one more hospitalization in Wasatch County from COVID-19, bringing the net total to 15. However, there still remain only two deaths. The most recent death occurred May 31.
