Four Brazilian Temples Resume Phase 2 of Operations May 10; Toronto Reverts

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints caused four Brazilian temples to resume operations at the Phase 2 level of reopening. These changes will come into effect May 10.

These temples are the Campinas, Fortaleza, Recife and Sao Paulo Temples.

Under the Salt Lake City-based faith’s reopening protocol, Phase 2 consists of being open for all living ordinances only with restrictions.

Additionally, the Church announced, effective May 10, that the Toronto Ontario Temple, which had been at Phase 2-B, will revert to Phase 2.

Phase 2-B allows temples to be open for all living ordinances and baptisms for deceased individuals with restrictions.
