SALT LAKE CITY-Per news released Friday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed For The Strength of Youth Conferences are to reconvene in 2022 and 2023.
Many congregations have organized youth camps for teens this summer on the local level to give the young men and young women a chance to reconnect with their leaders and their peers.
This allows local congregations in the U.S. and Canada to participate as assigned (every other year).
Youth may attend FSY conferences scheduled for their stake from the ages of 14-18.
The FSY conferences are modeled after BYU Especially For Youth, or EFY, conferences.
They consist of activities, devotionals and classes designed to assist youth in strengthening their faith in Jesus Christ and His Gospel.
FSY conferences in the U.S. and Canada are provided by the Salt Lake City-based faith and conducted locally with support from BYU.
Church youth who live outside of the U.S. and Canada will continue to have FSY conferences under the direction of their respective area presidencies.
The FSY conferences are staffed with young single adult counselors aged 19-30 who are recommended by their local leaders.
These conferences usually occur on college or university campuses. Youth are permitted to stay overnight in the campus dorms.
Youth in stakes scheduled for an FSY conference in 2022 will be invited to begin online registration during the first quarter of 2022.
