Elder and Sister Stevenson Teach Young Latter-day Saints To Find Vision/Balance In Life

SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday, Elder Gary E. Stevenson of The Quorum of Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his wife, Lesa, spoke from the new Pioneer Center at This Is The Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City at a young single adults fireside.

Elder Stevenson told his audience they were blessed with a gospel perspective. Their advantage is to see their mortal journey with a heavenly view, citing the literal connotation of his adjective.

He encouraged his listeners to give careful consideration to the experiences they have been through. As a businessman prior to his call as an Apostle, Elder Stevenson said this task taught him how to adapt along the way.

In quoting former Church President Gordon B. Hinckley, Elder Stevenson said balance in life comes from focusing on home, family, education and employment.

Sister Stevenson told the audience to make their families their focal point, citing remarks from Pres. Hinckley and current Church President, Russell M. Nelson.

Elder Stevenson then continued his remarks, telling of the importance of education and employment.
