SOAPSTONE BASIN, Utah-Wasatch County Search & Rescue advises residents not to use cars to travel on snowmobile trails  after two stranded adults had to be rescued.

Shortly after 10:15 pm on Thursday, Wasatch County SAR says they were called to a report of a stranded couple in their car.

Rescuers located them two miles up the Soapstone snowmobile trail.

Two teams of tracked vehicles were deployed. They located the occupants of the vehicle and transported them back to the highway.

The couple was transported back to the trailhead as Wasatch SAR confirmed they are legally disallowed from hooking onto and attempting to tow a private vehicle.
