SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints posted new online content to assist those who are deaf or hard of hearing and have disabilities on its digital platforms.

The Salt Lake City-based faith has updated its disabilities page at churchofjesuschrist.org. The content has also been posted on the Gospel Library app in the Life Health section.

This includes materials for individuals, parents and caregivers and leaders of those who are deaf or hard of hearing or have disabilities.

Resources within the app include information on the doctrine, videos and home evening lessons concerning disability awareness and inclusion, service mission opportunities and online resources.

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii-Monday, The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed the Kona Hawaii Temple will close for extensive renovations in October 2023.

Upgrades are expected to be completed by late 2025. Square footage of the temple will increase to approximately 12,000 feet from its current 9,500 feet.

During the temple’s renovation, Latter-day Saints who live in the Kona Temple District are encouraged to attend the Church’s temple at Laie, Hawaii.
