Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Announces Additions To Phase 2 At Certain Temples

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced additions to Phase 2 of reopening at certain temples across the world.

The Salt Lake City-based faith implemented Phase 2-B. This allows temple baptistries to open for small groups, particularly for those with a limited-use temple recommend.

The same safety protocols will be in place for this addition as currently exist in other phases of reopening. These include health screenings, temperature checks, a limited number of patrons and temple workers and scheduled appointments.

Elder David A. Bednar of The Church’s Quorum of Twelve Apostles and the leader of the faith’s Temple and Family History Council, has encouraged “small groups-including new members, families, Aaronic Priesthood quorums, Young Women classes and young adult groups- to schedule a time to be in the temple.”
