SALEM, Idaho-Multiple witnesses have told East Idaho News of Idaho Falls, Idaho that several officers have taken Chad Daybell into custody.

This was done one mile south of the Daybell residence in the 4000 block of 1900 East around 11:30 am Tuesday.

He was decked in a baseball cap, a gray button-up shirt and blue jeans.

Witnesses reported he got out of his silver SUV, was placed in handcuffs and detained in a police vehicle.

Daybell’s vehicle is currently parked on the road surrounded by deputies but he is no longer at the scene.

Police have not released any information on this apparent arrest.
