Alisa Ellis of Heber City Announces Resignation From Utah State Board of Education

HEBER CITY, Utah-Friday, per a report from the Deseret News’ politics section, Heber City resident Alisa Ellis has announced her resignation from the Utah State Board of Education.

Ellis, who represents District 12, confirmed she will resign in June because she is moving out of state.

Ellis, who was elected to this position in 2016, has lived in the Heber Valley for the past 14 years with her husband and seven children.

Ellis is renowned for her passion concerning the quality of education her children have received at Heber Valley schools during her time in the area.

Ellis has served as an activist in education during the course of her tenure.

She has a reputation for being active in the community, her religious beliefs and leadership acumen.

She has also served as a service project leader for the BYU women’s conference.
