Boys Soccer

5A State Championship @ America First Field

SANDY, Utah-Jayden Cosper scored the sole goal and No. 1 Wasatch blanked No. 7 Roy 1-0 Thursday to  win the 5A state boys soccer championship at America First Field. This was the Wasps’ fifth all-time state championship in boys soccer. Wasatch has won state championships in boys soccer in 2011, 2013, 2021, 2023 and 2024.

Softball

5A State Championship Series @ BYU

PROVO, Utah-Tyler Haveron drove in three runs and the No. 2 Springville Red Devils blanked No. 1 Spanish Fork 6-0 Thursday in the first game of the 5A state softball championship series at Miller Field. Allyx Haveron drove in two more runs in victory for Springville and Brooklyn Zajac added another RBI in the win for the Red Devils. Ryann Haveron posted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Springville. Game 2 is Friday at 11:00 am at Miller Field.

Girls Lacrosse

5A State Championship @ Zions Bank Stadium

HERRIMAN, Utah-Hannah Nelson and Elizabeth Anné had three points and three goals apiece and the No. 1 Olympus Titans downed No. 2 Park City 9-6 Thursday morning at Zions Bank Stadium to win the 5A state girls lacrosse championship. Megan Magee netted three points and three goals in the loss for the Miners. This is Olympus’ second all-time state championship in girls lacrosse. The Titans have state girls lacrosse championships in 2022 and 2024.
