HERRIMAN, Utah-Jayden Cosper scored and the No. 1 Wasatch Wasps outlasted No. 5 Hunter on penalty kicks 1 (5)-1 (3) Monday in the 5A state boys soccer semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium. Jeffrey Aguilar Perez scored in the loss for the Wolverines. Thursday at 1:00 pm at America First Field, the Wasps will play for a state championship against No. 7 Roy.
HERRIMAN, Utah-Aidan Hart and David Rangel each scored and the No. 7 Roy Royals doubled up No. 3 Salem Hills 2-1 in overtime in the 5A state boys soccer semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium Monday. Carson Bybee scored in the loss for the Skyhawks.

OREM, Utah-Sawyer Leifson recorded three RBI and the No. 2 Maple Mountain Golden Eagles overpowered No. 7 Murray 9-2 in 5A bracket play Monday at UCCU Ballpark. Cooper Wilson and Lino Healy each drove in a run in defeat for the Spartans.
Chase Johnston posted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Maple Mountain. The Golden Eagles next face No. 6 Salem Hills Tuesday at 4:30 pm in bracket play at UCCU Ballpark. Murray next faces No. 10 Box Elder Thursday at 11:00 am in the one-loss bracket.

Kason Averett recorded three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Skyhawks. Landen Golmon drove in two runs in defeat for the Bees.

The Pirates will face No. 4 Springville Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the one-loss bracket.
