Region 9

HEBER CITY, Utah-Carter Bucad posted 3 RBI, the last of which came on a pitching error from Spanish Fork in the bottom of the 8th Inning, and the Wasatch Wasps vanquished the Class 5A No. 1 Dons 3-2.

This victory gave the Wasps a successful Senior Day. Jackson Bolender earned the win on the mound for the Wasps, posting seven strikeouts in as many innings of work.

The win improves the Wasps to 13-11 on the season. The rubber match in the series occurs Friday at 3:30 pm at Nelson Field of Spanish Fork. You can tune into this game on 94.5 The Peak or on hebervalleyradio.com.

Softball

Region 9

HEBER CITY, Utah-Aubree Leonard drove in a pair of runs and the Spanish Fork Dons routed Wasatch 11-1 in Region 9 softball play Thursday. Avery Sapp posted 10 strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Dons.

The Spanish Fork victory spoiled Senior Day for the Wasps.

HEBER CITY, Utah-Diego Magana and Aiden Rowser each scored and the Wasatch Wasps had a successful Senior Day by besting Springville 2-1 Thursday in Region 9 boys soccer play.
