Baseball

Region 9

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Kaden Cloward posted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound and the Spanish Fork Dons captured the Region 9 title with a 2-0 win over Wasatch Wednesday afternoon at Nelson Field.

The Wasps and Dons have two more games in the series, including a Thursday game at Wasatch High School that serves as Senior Day for the Wasps.

Wasatch falls to 12-11 on the season with the loss.

Boys Lacrosse

Non-Region

HEBER CITY, Utah-The Wasatch Wasps blitzed Payson 17-1 in non-region boys lacrosse play Wednesday at Wright-Tree Stadium. The Wasps are now 7-6 on the season. Wasatch is also 4-0 in Region 9 play and has a chance to stay atop the region standings Friday as they visit Springville for a 4:00 pm game.

Girls Lacrosse

PAYSON, Utah-The Wasatch Wasps edged Payson 10-9 at Payson High School Wednesday in non-region girls lacrosse play. The Wasps improved to 7-4 on the season after the close call against the Lions.  The Wasps return to action Friday by hosting the Springville Red Devils at Wright-Tree Stadium at 5:00 pm in a Region 9 tilt. Wasatch is presently 4-0 in region play.
