5A State Championship Game @ America First Field

SANDY, Utah-Liam Davis, Jayden Cosper, Cole Simpson and Jackson Hanley each scored and the No. 1 Wasatch Wasps doubled up No. 3 Alta 4-2 Thursday at America First Field to capture the 5A state championship game. This is the Wasps’ fourth all-time state title in boys soccer and the second in the past three seasons. Wasatch has won state titles in boys soccer in 2011, 2013, 2021 and 2023. In defeat, the Hawks received goals from Preston Ludlow and Brock Bennion.

Girls Lacrosse

5A State Championship Game @ Zions Bank Stadium

HERRIMAN, Utah-The No. 3 Park City Miners upset No. 1 Olympus 12-8 Thursday evening at Zions Bank Stadium to win the 5A state girls lacrosse championship. This is Park City’s second all-time state championship in girls lacrosse. The Miners also won the state title in 2021.

Baseball

5A Bracket 1

PROVO, Utah-Mays Madsen, Dawson Brown and Jackson Brousseau drove in two runs apiece and the No. 4 Lehi Pioneers overpowered No. 5 Viewmont 8-3 to advance to the 5A state championship bracket by winning Bracket 1 play Thursday evening at Miller Park. Dawson Rodak posted six strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Lehi. The Pioneers next face Timpanogos Friday at 7:00 pm in Game 1 of the 5A state championship series at UCCU Ballpark on the campus of Utah Valley University.

5A Bracket 2

PROVO, Utah-Luke Livingston and Brighton Tate each drove in a run and the No. 2 Timpanogos Timberwolves blanked No. 3 Salem Hills 2-0 Thursday to eliminate the Skyhawks from state championship competition.

Softball

5A State Championship Series Game 1

PROVO, Utah-The No. 1 Spanish Fork Dons downed No. 2 Bountiful 1-0 Thursday evening at Gail Miller Park on the campus of Brigham Young University in Game 1 of the 5A state championship series. The RedHawks will seek to even up the series Friday at 1:30 pm at Gail Miller Park. If Game 3 is necessary, the time is pending.
