HERRIMAN, Utah-Joe Wunder, Robbie Glenn and Tucker Englebright had 10 points apiece and the Wasatch Wasps bested Herriman 48-43 Tuesday in non-region boys basketball action.

The Wasps’ victory over the Mustangs was Wasatch’s first of the season as head coach James Ballstaedt’s squad improved to 1-3.

Wasatch outscored Herriman 33-17 in the second half to pull out the win. The Mustangs stumbled to 0-3 with the loss.

The Wasps return to action Thursday evening at 6:30 pm at Skyridge High School to face the host Falcons at Lehi during the Skyridge Tournament. Join Ty & Ty for the Dairy Keen pregame show at 6:15 pm on 94.5 The Peak and hebervalleyradio.com.

This tournament runs through Saturday. Also competing at the Skyridge Invitational are Copper Hills, Wasatch’s fellow Region 9 foe Salem Hills, Layton, Alta, Dixie and Juan Diego.

The Mustangs stay in the Salt Lake Valley for their next game as they visit the Jordan Beetdiggers Friday night.
